That 80s Improv Challenge: Toronto!

  • Teddy Beer Comedy Cave 928 Bloor Street West Toronto, ON, M6H 1L4 Canada (map)

Everyone loves all things 1980s. The music. The big hair. The aerobics. And especially videos from the 80s.

So, what if I tell you - we have a show where three improv teams compete by creating scenes inspired by obscure videos, fast food training films, anti-drug PSAs, cable-access TV clips, slim being dumped on young Alanis Morsette, and big hair music videos…ALL FROM THE 1980s!

You’d go complete apeshit, right?

Well, we have that show… That 80s Improv Challenge.

It’s The Found Footage Festival meets Whose Line is it Anyway?

Three improv teams compete in three rounds – to determine one ‘That 80s Improve Challenge’ champion. (Featuring improvisers: Kris Siddiqi,  Laura Cilevitz  Ken Hall & more.)

Celebrity Comedian Judges, Scott Thompson (Kids in the Hall) Sean Cullen (The Willoughbys), Tyra Banda (The Second City) – will

rate the scenes.

Hosted and brought to you by Harmon Leon (Vice, Edinburgh Festival, This American Life)
